The evolution of technology is a pretty amazing thing and The Victorian Internet helped to encompass and showcase this. The Day the Universe Changed I spent most of the time watching it wondering if I was really supposed to be watching it. But once they started talking about the printing press, I figured I had the right video. These ideas and inventions came from someone identifying a problem. It took years of trial and error, money, trying to gather support for technology like the telegraph to come about. There were always naysayers even in today's world with modern technology. While we have come a long way, technology isn’t where I thought it would be today while I was growing up. Vygotsky… What a tough week it was for me DDLS. I spent the past two weeks reading Vygotsky, rereading some of it, and still not comprehending what I was reading. It inevitably resulted in frustration kicking in and me not wanting to complete my work. But as I always do, I didn’t give up and I persevered...eventually. I even found the tasks in class difficult for me to fully engage in…. Poetry?! Write poetry using vocabulary from Vygotsky?! I’m sure Dawn could sense my displeasure. I found the mind maps to be the most helpful in my understanding of Vygotsky. I enjoyed seeing everyone's interpretations of the mind maps. We were all given the same assignment and they were all completely different and they all helped me to better understand Vygotsky.
